We have a new pet sitting job that our human loves. We're helping an elderly woman take care of her six cats. My part is providing moral support from home, when I'm not sleeping or arranging a play date with a tiny animal outside. Our human's part is scooping all the cats' boxes, including a child's wading pool full of litter. I haven't figured out why she likes this...
She has a helper -- a white and orange kitten named Charlie, who loves to sit in the middle of the wading pool and chase the scoop while she's digging in the litter. She has a special friend, too. Her name is Rainbow, and she follows our human around the house and sits beside her while she's scooping. Our human scoops for a minute and pets Rainbow for two minutes. Then she scoops for another minute, and then pets Rainbow some more. No wonder this job takes such a long time.
There's also Obie, a retired Ragamuffin show cat, and few others she doesn't know real well. Today she befriended a very shy gray and white guy who seems to like her because she gives all the cats food.
She likes the cats' human a lot and has fun talking with her about... well, what does she ever talk about... cats. But mainly she loves being in a house with so many beautiful cats, and she loves Charlie and Rainbow and Obie.
