Duck, Duck, Geese, Part Three
It poured all day today, and when our human got to the house with the ducks and geese, there was just one lonely goose drifting around in the pond honking. Our human felt sorry for him out there all by himself. I wonder where his friends were. Gosh... I hope they're okay.

Duck, Duck, Geese, Continued
We're pet sitting for the ducks and geese again, and this morning the geese had a huge fight! They were honking and hissing at each other, and flapping their great big wings. Our human knows what to do when cats fight, but she doesn't have much experience with geese. So as she was dipping her hand into the bucket of corn she had for them and flinging kernels everywhere as fast as she could, she did the same thing she does when we're having a disagreement.
I'm almost embarrassed to say this. She says, "be nice guys. You're friends. Be nice with each other." Then she tries to send us mental pictures of all eight of us getting along. The geese paid about as much attention as we do. They kept hissing and honking and flapping their wings until our human went to feed the cats, who were waiting for breakfast in their various corners of the yard.
Hmmm... Wouldn't you think she'd feed the cats first?

Duck, Duck, Geese
We're pet sitting for some ducks and geese this week. Actually, I think we were hired to take care of the outside cats. But while our human doesn't always see the cats, the geese are always there waiting for corn, which our human scatters all over everywhere so they won't fight while they're eating.
This morning, the geese were in a neighbor's yard when our human got to their house. She was walking down to the pond when she saw them coming... a long line of geese marching two by two across the yard to the pond and breakfast.
Whew! Glad I wasn't there. I'd be terrified of a bunch of birds twice my size, even if they were walking along in neat columns. In case you've never noticed, cats don't do columns. We go where our free spirits take us and hope our friends catch up.
