Saved By Facebook

I'm so excited! We're getting two cats off death row at that Prince George's County Shelter, and we couldn't have done it without the Howard County Cat Club's fans on Facebook. Our human posted the two tortoiseshell sisters there last night, and our friend Becky offered to get them out of the shelter. Then Holly, another friend, said she'd foster them until they can go to the group home next week.

Their human took them to that high-kill shelter because she's expecting a baby. I don't understand why two cats nearly died because a new human is about to be born. But then, there are a lot of things I don't understand about humans, and to be honest, I'd rather not even think about them. The human we live with is kind to cats, and maybe the best we can do is win them over, one person at a time.

Here's CC's picture. She's so cute!

Saved From Death Row

Raj and Tigger got adopted today, after just four days in the group home. They're very nice, cuddly 10-year-old sisters, and it's hard to believe that less than a week ago they were on death row at the Prince George's County shelter. Oh, what a thought... No cat deserves to be on death row in a shelter!

Anyway, our human and her friend Denise worked very hard  to get them out. One of our clients (Rusty's human) went to Prince George's County to get them and kept them at her house that night. Our human took them to the group home the next day, and their new forever family met them this afternoon.

I love it when people work together to save cats. This whole thing just makes me so happy!

This picture of Tigger was taken when she was in the shelter.
