Our Human was very distracted tonight. All she could think about was the 35 cats and three dogs living in an apartment in Baltimore. The property manager threatened to call Animal Control (just the thought makes me very scared); the people said they'd drop the cats off somewhere in the country before they'd let Animal Control get them. But the cats have never been outside... This sounds really bad.
Our Human and her friend Ruth have managed large rescues before. Jasmine, who's just about my favorite friend, was in the Baltimore County shelter with her 22 former housemates, and our Human and Ruth managed to get them out. Thank goodness... I don't even like to think about Jasmine in the shelter! And she was 15 years old at the time.
Will they be able to save these cats? Oh, I hope so. I really do hope so. I'm sending thoughts out to the universe for foster homes to come along. Or maybe there will be lots of adoptions at the show tomorrow so there's room in the group home. But 35 cats couldn't live there. It would be too crowded, almost as crowded as that apartment must be. We need foster homes... foster homes... please, Dear Universe, send us foster homes.
