The Best Bouquet

Simba's "mom" sent me flowers! She left them in her kitchen for our human. I love them. Our human put the vase on the counter where I eat for just a minute, and I liked them so much there that's where they stayed. I love to put my face in the middle of the bouquet because the flowers smell so nice.

Simba and our human usually go outside when she visits him. But it's been too cold this week. So they've been staying inside and Simba's been rolling back and forth on the living room floor for belly rubs. That doesn't sound like fun to me, but Simba loves it.

Today, after Simba's house, our human had lunch at Lake Elkhorn and watched the ducks walking on the ice of the frozen lake. It must be hard for birds who are used to drifting along in the water to have to walk on ice! Our human was wondering if they were getting enough to eat and wishing she had something for them when a man showed up with a huge bag full of... was it bread? Whatever it was, the ducks were very happy to have some food.
