Your Cat's Calling You

Something weird happened at the adoption show today. Taylor and Emily got adopted! That's not the weird part though.

Taylor and Emily were both "strays" who showed up in people's back yards. They both made the mistake of choosing yards that belonged to people who think cats should live "strictly indoors." That didn't work for either of them, and they both wound up in the Howard County Cat Club's group home, where they were a lot happier!

Someone saw them on Adopt a Pet.com and went to the show today to meet them. She loved them, and they loved her. They'll be going to live in her barn later this week. I'm so excited for them!

But this is the weird part. About an hour after the woman left, a couple came into the store and went right to Taylor's crate. They just stood there looking at him for the longest time. Then, they asked our human where he came from. They lost an indoor/outdoor cat two years ago, and they were convinced that Taylor was their missing cat. When they found out he'd been adopted and was going to live in a pretty little horse barn they decided they didn't want him back. Instead, they left happy that he was alive and well and going to a home he'd enjoy.

Our human and her friend Diana think fate brought them to PetCo today so they could see their cat one more time and know he was okay. Could be, but I think it's more likely Taylor had them come so they'd stop worrying about him. Cats can do that, you know.

Here are some pictures Diana took of Taylor and Emily.
