Lucy has diabetes and pancreatic insufficiency. She's on pancreatic enzymes (I wonder what that is) that are mixed into her food and Lantus insulin. That's the kind of insulin Little Gray had until our human switched him to Levemir. Taking care of him doesn't seem to be a big deal. The only problem is the dry food. LG loves dry food, but he's not allowed to have it. Mine is up on a counter where he can't get to it.
Anyway, Lucy's in a foster home. But her foster is moving in a couple of weeks and can't take Lucy. Our human and I are freaking out because we don't know where she's going to go. The Howard County Cat Club can't afford to board her at a vet clinic, and she'd be miserable and terrified there anyway.
Lucy loves people. She's a lap cat (ugh... I'd never be a lap cat!). And she loves to just sit around with a bunch of humans and join in their conversations. Of course, they don't know what she's saying. They think she's just listening. Wrong again...
Could you spread the word about Lucy or maybe foster or adopt her yourself. Her diabetes is well regulated, and she's such a nice, loving cat. She really deserves a real home where she'll be happy and adored, like I am.
Here's her picture. She looks so sick!
