Family Outing

We had a really boring night tonight. Little Gray, our diabetic cat, decided he just had to go outside, even though his blood glucose level was lower than it had ever been before. We couldn't risk having him go hypo on us outside, so we all went out and helped our Human keep an eye on him.

He sat in a flowerbed watching bugs and things. Tommy and PK and our Human and I sat on the sidewalk watching Little Gray. We were there so long, PK fell asleep all sprawled out right in the middle of the sidewalk. For a while, I sat on top of our friend Susan's car so I could see Little Gray better and catch a few bugs myself. I'm not allowed to sit on people's cars, but our Human was so tired of being bitten by mosquitoes, she didn't care.

It's a good thing she does home testing and saw that his blood glucose level was dropping into the 40s. If she hadn't given him something to eat, the two of them probably would have spent the night in the emergency room, or worse, instead of outside in the flowerbed and on the sidewalk.

Our Human wanted me to share this link on home testing with you, in case you ever have a diabetic cat. And here's a picture of our cute looking Little Gray sleeping on the balcony.
