We did it! I'm just so excited! Tuncas, the poor 14-year-old cat who got ditched by his humans, was adopted and went home today!
This is how it happened: Our Human wrote to all of our pet sitting clients and Howard County Cat Club volunteers and asked for a home or foster home. Simba's Human, Carrie, posted the email on her company Intranet and asked three friends to do the same. Someone who saw the email wanted an older cat, met Tuncas and fell in love. He's now living in Waldorf.
I never heard of Waldorf, but Tuncas's new person has a big house and four acres for him to explore, so he should be very happy. And I'm so happy for him. All cats deserve people who appreciate them and enjoy their company. Of course, I'm appreciated more than any other cat anywhere. And I deserve it just because I'm me.
