Tuncas Needs A Home -- Fast

I heard about a 14-year-old cat tonight who needs a home... fast! His people are moving to another state, and they don't want to take him. After 13 years together, they've decided he can't live with them anymore.

These stories always upset me so much! Why do people think we don't have feelings? Why do they think we won't grieve for the people we care for day after day, year after year? Why do they think it's okay to toss out a cat like an old pair of shoes? Or, even worse, take the cat to a shelter where he or she will live in a cage until someone, well... never mind. You probably know what happens to old cats in shelters.

Anyway... the people say they "inherited" Tuncas, and they never really wanted him. They just put up with him all this time because he's a gentle guy with a great personality. He's an indoor/outdoor cat and has lots of cat friends in his neighborhood. That's sad, too. Not only is he going to lose his home and family, he's going to lose his friends, too. Poor Tuncas... I hope we can find a nice home for him.

Here's his picture. He's so handsome!
