Apologies To Piper

Piper almost caught something today. She knew it was there, wedged behind the slats in her fence. So she carefully reached behind what she thought was the right slat with one tiny gray paw. Bryan Wilson, her housemate, was no help at all. He was lying next to our human and startled himself by crunching all the leaves when he flipped over for belly rubs.

Piper touched the little animal in the fence. He ran for cover, and our human saw him. She immediately began clapping her hands, distracting both Piper and Bryan. I am so embarrassed! I don't know why she has to overreact when a cat acts like... well, a cat.

I apologized to Piper. But I know how it feels to miss out on a play date with a tiny animal, and I have no idea how to make it up to her. Maybe I'll invite her and Bryan to come here and go hunting in the woods with me. We'll make sure the human is safely inside with a big pile of treats (potato chips would work) so she won't get in our way... again.

Here are some pictures of Piper and Bryan. Piper's chasing something.
