I was not told that those cats were coming here. I was told our human was getting three cats who came from a shelter in North Carolina where they gas animals... Oh, this is just so upsetting. I can't believe they would do that to a cat or dog. I wish the cats and dogs could get together and gas them!
The three cats who are here, Honey and her kids Katie and Winston, lived in a cage in the shelter for two months. When they were "out of time," someone from a rescue in their town started emailing all over everywhere begging for somebody to take a few kittens to make room. Then no one would be killed. Our human offered to take three adult cats, and a really nice woman drove them up here yesterday.
I do not like sharing my things with cats I don't even know. But they'll be going to the group home in a few days. And at least they're alive. They're nice cats, and they didn't deserve to die because the woman who had Honey was too lazy to get her spayed and then got mad because she had kittens. Was this Honey's fault? I don't think so! The maddening thing is that this happens all the time! I really do wish people would understand that we aren't human, and we don't do birth control on our own.
We don't have pictures of Honey, Katie and Winston yet. But take my word for it: They're beautiful. Hey, if you're looking for some very nice cats, these three need a forever home. They need to stay together, and a nice barn would be just fine.
