Turtle TV

We pet sat for a turtle this weekend. Well, no, that's not quite true. I don't actually pet sit. I help by making sure our human knows I'm thinking about her when she's gone all day. And I put paw prints on her windshield. They're supposed to remind her of me and make her laugh while she's driving. I don't know why she keeps wiping them off with those things that go back and forth on the windshield.

So this weekend, she pet sat for her cat friends Stanford and Farclas and their foster turtle, Hampton. Hampton's going to be released at a reservoir (wonder what that is) this spring. But for now, he and some tiny creek minnows are living in an aquarium in Stanford's and Farclas' kitchen. The cats think the turtle and fish are the best thing to come along since kitty DVDs. Stanford sits beside the aquarium watching the fish. Farclas lounges on top with his tail draped over the side. Our human never actually saw Hampton, and she rarely saw the fish. For some reason, they were all together under a big rock. I hope they weren't hiding from the cats!

Here's Farclas on top of the aquarium. He's a Norwegian Forest Cat. Isn't he beautiful! I wish I could be that big!
