Halloween Cat In June

We saw Halloween Cat today! Well, I didn't see him. I was busy napping under a bush while our human was pet sitting.

Halloween Cat is a feral cat who lives in Bandit's and Trouble's yard. Our human has never seen him, and she was so excited when he appeared today. He sat under a tree, and she stood by his dishes, and they blinked at each other. In case you don't know our language, blinking is catspeak for "I trust you and want to be your friend."

Meanwhile, poor Bandit was stuck inside with his cute pink nose pressed against the sliding doors in the family room. He used to be feral, too. He's still afraid of people he doesn't know, but he loves our human because she always lets him approach her first, and she gives him treats. He'd love her even more if she let him out. But he's supposed to stay in when his people are out of town because he and Halloween Cat always fight.

Hey, if you get adopted by a feral cat, I hope you won't make him stay inside all the time. A week while you're on vacation is okay, I guess. But not all the time, always, forever.
