Meet Muffit

We have a new cat in the group home. She's a beautiful dilute calico, and she's so soft and cuddly our human named her Muffit because she looks sort of like a muff. Hmmm... Our human doesn't come up with the best cat names.

Anyway, someone found her wandering the streets of downtown Baltimore covered with infected flea bites. I certainly know how that feels! The woman wanted to keep her, but her original cat hated Muffit so much he got sick. So now she's up for adoption.

Muffit is so friendly, she wandered around touching noses with everybody when she got to the group home yesterday. She even touched noses with  Mulberry, who has a serious chip on his shoulder and hates everybody. Mulberry was so surprised that a cat actually wanted to be friends with him, he just stood there with her nose against his. Then he came to his senses and swatted her in the face. Ouch! Poor Muffit!

A volunteer took this picture of her with a cell phone. And Diana Hanshaw took the picture of Mulberry. He doesn't look grouchy...
