Cats Everywhere

Our Human and her friend Pat went to the apartment where there are 35 cats and three dogs tonight. There were cats and kittens everywhere. A lot of the male cats were in cages so they wouldn't fight, and that made Our Human and Pat very upset. They both had headaches when they left with three mother cats and their kittens and two brothers named Buddy and George. Smitty and Puma from the group home might be adopted, and if they are Our Human and Pat will go back this weekend for two more cats.

When Our Human got home, she told us we're very lucky to have enough to eat and enough room to get away from each other if we want to. Jasmine and I know what it's like to live with way too many cats. The thing about cats is that we just sort of accept life the way it is and manage to deal with it. And the ones who can't deal with it get sick, or depressed, or start pulling their fur out the way Buddy was doing.

Jasmine and I aren't so sure about the luck part though. I guess some of us are more entitled than others to get every little thing we want.

Diana Hanshaw took this picture of Jasmine. Isn't she beautiful!
