Happy Birthday To Me

Yesterday was our human's birthday, and I got a present! It's a heart-shaped wicker cat bed, and I love it! We put it on our human's desk, right next to her keyboard. Now I can sleep in the bed instead of on the keyboard. It's a lot more comfortable, and our human's happy. For some reason, she didn't like it when I napped on her keyboard. The "a" key doesn't work well now, and she says th t's bec use of me. Really... you'd think aaaa machine could hold up under six pounds of fur.

People love to talk about behavior modification for cats. But what works better is behavior modification for humans. Our human calls it "accommodating our cats." Whatever... it's amazing how quickly they learn with positive reinforcement.

I've been wanting my own bed beside the keyboard for a few days. And now I have one, and all I had to do was lie on the keyboard and look like my feelings were hurt every time our human yelled, "Get OFF!!" She learns so quickly...

Darn, that "a" key really is a nuisance. I hope we don't need a new keyboard.
